Nr Burnham Market, North Norfolk
Perfectly placed just two miles from the North Norfolk coast and Holkham Hall, and one mile from its sister village Burnham Market, Ayres Cottage is a blend of peaceful, comfortable country living mixed with plenty of modern comforts.
Constructed in the 1990’s in traditional brick and flint, this lovely cosy Norfolk village hideaway is simply perfect for a family of four or a couple or two looking for a great base from which to explore this pretty corner of North Norfolk.
There are two bedrooms (double and twin) upstairs along with a family bathroom. On the ground floor, the very well-equipped modern fitted kitchen has a table for two where you can enjoy a quiet early morning cuppa.
Next door the L-shaped sitting room has an easy, relaxed style, a dining area that overlooks the garden and a log burner to light when it’s a bit nippy and the nights are drawing in. In the summer, open the french doors and stroll out to the south facing private courtyard garden, maybe open a bottle of wine and reflect on the day’s events.
Burnham Thorpe is quietly tucked away about a mile inland from the busy coastal road, but is within easy reach of everything you might want to see or do, be it shopping, walking, enjoying a fabulous meal out, birdwatching, cycling or just visiting nearby beaches and breathing in sea air. If you decide to bring your dog along, there are some wonderful walks around this area that you will both enjoy. Stretch your legs and from the cottage you can walk the quiet lanes into Burnham Market or up to North Creake Abbey, where there is a super dog friendly cafe.
