Recessed alcoves, exposed brickwork and stripped back wooden flooring are just some of the features that make Birdcage Cottage in Kingsand a charming coastal retreat on the South Cornwall coast.
Beautifully styled with a contemporary coastal feel the cottage makes fantastic use of the quirky space within, where furnished nooks create the perfect place to catch up on a good book; and angular windows flood the home with natural light.
The ground floor is home to a lovely kitchen and boasts chunky worktops and a Belfast sink, while the huge range cooker along with a good selection of appliances means whipping up a hearty family meal is a breeze for even the most amateur of cooks.
A comfortable dining room with its large table, ample seating and decorative feature fireplace is just the place for sharing those culinary creations in, and the room’s cosy atmosphere invites long evenings of laughter, conversation and time spent together.
Arranged over the upper two floors of the property are two double bedrooms including a sumptuous master bedroom with king size bed, and the bijou living room complete with its wood burning stove, flat-screen television and a large L-shaped sofa, is the ideal spot for chilling out or enjoying a movie night in.
To the front of the property is a furnished, decked seating area.
Parking – There is space outside for one car. This is not a designated area but the owner and previous guests have always parked here, otherwise there is a large parking facility about 50 yards down the hill
Kingsand is a pretty village tucked away on the Rame Peninsula on Cornwall’s scenic south coast. Famed for its narrow streets, charming cottages and sheltered beach, is a firm favourite for those looking for a traditional Cornish getaway.
The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are located on the Rame Peninsula and are just a three minute walk apart. Unspoiled by development they remain true to a traditional Cornish way of life and the beautiful scenery surrounding the area along with a small, sheltered bay make it a popular destination for visitors from all over the world including artists and members of the boating fraternity.
