Set in the beautiful and popular village of Cartmel, only six miles south of Lake Windermere, this delightful turn of the century holiday cottage offers comfort, style and a stunning location.

Entering this lovely cottage from the small front garden you step into the hall with smoky grey stone flags and a fine oak staircase.

You will find the lounge is relaxing and comfortable, with comfy furniture, an oak floor, TV with Sky Q, and a traditional wood burner, making this a perfect space to tuck up and relax with a movie or a good read after your day out in the lakes.

The kitchen/diner lies off the hall at the rear of the cottage, with the stone flag flooring continuing through giving continuity of design. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven with gas hob and everything you’ll need during your stay.The dining area features a fine table set in front of a large wood burner.

Going upstairs you will find two stylish and comfortable bedrooms, each with TV. You can choose between the king-size which offers charming views over the local fields, or the twin at the rear of the cottage. The shower room features a walk-in shower and WC.

French doors open out onto the small courtyard with its charming patio garden. Walled on both boundaries, there is a stone out-building housing the laundry facilities and storage space for bikes. With comfy outdoor furniture you can relax with a drink or dine alfresco.

Roadside parking is easily available, this area is tucked away from the crowds.

Cartmel is a popular and pretty village with traditional lime washed and stone built houses, shops and pubs. There’s plenty to discover in the immediate area, including a Norman priory, a beautiful river, and the popular Cartmel Races, home of the smallest steeplechase racecourse in the country.

Located on the peninsula, Cartmel nestles just six miles south of Lake Windermere. There are plenty of easy walks from the village: you could climb Hampsfell with its panoramic views across towards Morecambe Bay, then descend down to Grange Over Sands or explore the tracks running through Eggerslack Woods. Among the many other highlights of this stunning area are the Grizedale Forest, the vibrant town of Kendal and the wonderful Fell Foot Park.
