Stunning detached barn conversion located in the beautiful medieval village of Cartmel, and only 6.5 miles from Lakeside on the southern shore of Lake Windermere.

A large inviting sofa and armchairs provide guests with a relaxing place to sit, whilst the entertainment is provided by a TV/DVD and hi-fi with iPod dock. The dining table sits in the window across the room from the lounge area and has ample space for five diners.
The kitchen can be found just across the hallway, a sleek space with a contemporary feel. There is also a second dining space in the kitchen and a patio door which leads out to the walled garden.

The second bedroom is a double room, whilst the third is a restful single. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor, and offers a shower-over-bath and WC.

There is garden furniture and a BBQ provided.
There is off-road parking for one car, whilst a permit is provided to allow a second vehicle to park in the nearby village car park.
This cottage is centrally located in the village. Yes - the parking is awkward to get to but is a huge plus for the location. The village itself has everything you need but yet still keeps the quaint feeling. The cottage is perfect for small families with a dog. Once the gates are shut it is fully enclosed. 2 and a 1/2 bathrooms with one en-suite are a real bonus. Charlotte and Les are great hosts and we definitely be back.

An absolutely gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location. Les and Charlotte lovely and made sure we had all we needed for our Christmas celebrations. Cartmel was stupendous and a hidden gem in the lakes. Would spend every Xmas there in a heartbeat. Thank you.

Cartmel is a popular and pretty village with traditional lime washed and stone built houses, shops and pubs.
There’s plenty to discover in the immediate area, including a Norman priory, a beautiful river, and the popular Cartmel Races, home of the smallest steeplechase racecourse in the country.
Located on the peninsula, Cartmel nestles just six miles south of Lake Windermere. There are plenty of easy walks from the village: you could climb Hampsfell with its panoramic views across towards Morecambe Bay, then descend down to Grange Over Sands or explore the tracks running through Eggerslack Woods.
Among the many other highlights of this stunning area are the Grizedale Forest, the vibrant town of Kendal and the wonderful Fell Foot Park.
