Stalham, Norfolk Broads
Luxury Holiday Home
Unique, luxury holiday home with an amazing, contemporary interior, riverside location and in the wonderfully idyllic Norfolk Broads. This former mill keeper’s cottage is simply fabulous!
Approached from a private road and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with a tranquil bend in the River Ant to the front (a tributary of The Broads), and surrounded by stunning water meadows.
Hunsett Mill beautifully marries brilliant contemporary design with traditional Norfolk architecture. Inside it is both exciting and comfortable, and designed to let as much of the outside ‘in’ as possible, with huge windows and galleried landings giving a feeling of space and light.
Comfortable furnishings and well thought out living areas make the house both welcoming and practical.
The renovation and extension of this mill keeper’s cottage was shortlisted for the “Structural Awards 2009” as one of the projects with the most innovative structure in the category “Residential Structures ” by the Institution of Structural Engineers.
There are extensive gardens all around the property with a lovely garden to the river frontage, a boardwalk down to the bend in the river and a path around the property passed the water meadow to the side and rear.
There is a table and 8 chairs outside the kitchen door and a further table and 6 chairs at the end of the board walk. Neither the windmill nor boat house is open to guests during their stay. There is ample parking for several cars.

Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a truly extraordinary holiday property.
A particularly beautiful part of Norfolk. Just 10 mins from the lovely beach at Sea Palling it is only 15 mins from Wroxham and the property itself sits on a beautiful bend of the River Ant, a tributary of The Broads and is surrounded by water meadow with it’s own restored windmill and boat house.
Add to this a building of remarkeable architectural significance and you have a self-catering experience that will be difficult to beat.
