Dating from the Georgian era, Pound Cake Cottage is full of character both inside and out, a romantic retreat for a couple or two, equally suitable for friends and families located in the pretty village of Stanhoe, close to Burnham Market and the North Norfolk coast.
With beamed ceilings and walls to most rooms, the clever use of retro-style furniture, interesting artworks and funky lighting certainly sets this interesting little cottage apart from the coastal norm.
A charming brick and flint period cottage set in large gardens and enjoying a peaceful location in the unspoilt village of Stanhoe. A short walk to an award-winning gastro pub and ten minute drive to the coast, this stylish cottage ticks lots of boxes.
Cosy and comfortable, the accommodation is set over two floors. On the ground floor there is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove, an adjoining dining room that connects to the kitchen and a snug that can be used as a quiet work space or reading room. It’s here in the sung you’ll find a large sofa bed, this can sleep a further 2 guests if you wish.
A well-equipped galley style kitchen with utility area overlooks, and has access to, the rear garden.
A downstairs shower room completes the scene.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, king-size, double and twin and comes with a family bathroom.
The cottage is blessed with gardens to front and rear.
The secluded rear garden overlooks beautiful meadowland – If you don’t feel like straying too far you can make full use of the barbecue or simply take a seat and enjoy getting lost in a good book.
Children and infants are welcome, but there is no equipment provided other than a high chair. To confirm, Pound Cake Cottage sleeps 6 + 2, the 2 additional guests can be accommodated in the snug, we’ll confirm upon booking.
