Climb the steps, past creeping cottage flowers, up to the charming thatched porch and step into the open-plan sitting/dining room – a lovely, light room with neutral decor and an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique styling.

Sink into one of the comfortable sofas, light the wood burner in the brick hearth and settle down to watch something good on the TV.

When you’re feeling hungry, rustle up something to eat in the self-contained kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a dishwasher and a fridge with an ice compartment.

There’s plenty of room to dine round the farmhouse-style table back in the sitting room.

Climb the stairs up to the first-floor landing where you’ll discover the property’s two bedrooms – one king-size and one double – both decorated in soothing tones for a peaceful night’s sleep. They share a stylish bathroom with a shower over the bath.

At the rear of the cottage, you’ll find a delightful south-facing enclosed courtyard garden which is the perfect spot for a morning coffee or an al fresco dinner.

There are herbs, shrubs and flowers to admire, as well as the view towards Colmers Hill. Parking is available on the no through lane outside the cottage.
