The Woodman’s Treehouse is a luxurious two-storey structure arranged between and beneath the canopy of aged oaks. Far from being a woodland folly it is the sleepover den every grown-up dreamed of as a child; a self-contained tree-top world.

The treehouse is entered across a stressed ribbon bridge to the lobby with its stacked log walls. A scorched oak door, with heavy marine porthole and submarine locking mechanism lets into a small scale lobby.

Beyond the chic lines of its natural exterior, lies a space like that of any other. A light-flooded bedroom overlooks the circular living quarters which are joined by a freestanding copper bathtub looking out over the treetops. Every comfort has been carefully thought out, including a bespoke kitchen, king-size bed and soft leather armchairs. A revolving wood burner keeps everything cosy, along with thick blankets, plush cushions and scattered candles.

Retiring to the bed space guests gaze upwards to the colour illuminated tree canopy through a deep tapering shaft with a frameless glazed aperture.

Outside on the rear deck you can try the open-air tree shower. The modern barbeque and wood-fired pizza oven are perfect if you wish to make the most of the space. You can purchase pizza dough, charcoal, cider and wine from the on-site honesty based shop so that you don’t even have to leave the camp to prepare yourself for a nice evening in.

Follow the spiral staircase up to the top level of the treehouse and you’ll even find your own outdoor hot tub and sauna.

Highlights include your own sauna and hot tub on the upper spa deck, a revolving woodburner, an open air tree-shower on a huge second deck and a stainless steel slide.

Situated on a private, adults-only glamping site, the treehouses and spaces have won numerous awards for design and architecture, and been featured on national television.

Dogs are not permitted, and the minimum age is 18.
Speakers and amplified sound are not allowed.
There is a minimum 2 night stay during the week, and 3 night stay on the weekend.
