Portland Stone

Portland Stone

Although it’s been a couple of centuries since the Grade-II listed Georgian building that this apartment sits within was built, the contemporary interior design still retains an air of timeless sophistication that we feel would please the original architects if they were able to see it.The sleek kitchen surfaces and muted colour palette are instantly soothing and work to emphasise the bountiful amount of natural light that streams in through the tall windows on the far side of the space — which also look out to a beautiful view of the rooftops of Bath. There’s a discernible mid-century inspiration when it comes to the furnishings and the sleek bathroom is pretty stylish, too. When you want to see more of this picturesque city, the centre is a ten-minute walk and offers spas, Regency buildings and an interesting selection of museums. Royal Victoria Park takes the same amount of time to reach on foot.

The King’s Meadery

The King’s Meadery

This home is set in a beautiful period building, right in the city’s centre. Cobblestone alleyways lead you to hidden bakeries and independent shops. Farmer’s markets are held in the square below the flat, so you can stock up on fresh ingredients with ease. Bath’s more prominent attractions are close by too – Jane Austen’s Pump Room is round the corner. You’re also just a three-minute walk to the Thermae Bath Spa and the Roman baths, so sightseeing can be done at your leisure. The apartment itself has been recently renovated, and really feels like a cosy home-away-from-home.

The King’s Retreat

The King’s Retreat

Set in grade II-listed building in the heart of Bath, The King’s Retreat is the perfect base from which to explore the city. It’s located just a three-minute walk from the famous Thermae Bath Spa, four minutes from the Roman Baths, and seven minutes to the train and bus station. With such a perfect location, all you have to worry about is how to spend your days, choosing between the markets, tea rooms, and historical sights (there are plenty – the city dates back to the Roman era). And if you want to get a bit closer to nature, there’s a lovely footpath along the river Avon that we can vouch for, or head into the Cotswolds for a day trip.
