While the local parkland boasts plenty of tranquil green space, the cottage features its own south-facing walled garden – perfect for sitting with a cup of tea in the sunshine. The interiors here ooze character, as antique furnishings bring additional charm, and features such as the roll-top bathtub are all the more inviting after a day on your feet exploring the city. Meanwhile, a great selection of books and games will keep the kids entertained here too.

But let’s face it – with Bath’s vibrant culinary scene close by, we suspect you’ll be eating out anyway. Quietly tucked away from the inner-city bustle, but with all the sights within easy walking distance, the location is spot-on.

Visible from the suntrap rooftop terrace, a scenic walk to the Georgian city, following the canal, will take around forty-five minutes. The other villages on the horizon are only minutes away by car. But location isn’t the only thing working for this home. It’s bright and modern, with a vaulted atrium making a beautiful first impression. There’s a gym, a small office, and a jacuzzi tub. We’re also fans of the skylights that tease the panoramic views awaiting you outside and the bi-fold kitchen door for semi-alfresco meals.

The traditional, elegant interiors with their palms and silk flowers have a lived-in feel, paired with characterful features like a large wood-burning fireplace, a stained glass window, mood lighting throughout and a carved stone basin in one of the three bathrooms. It’s just a ten-minute stroll from Bath centre so the location is excellent too, though make sure you have comfy shoes on, as the walk back home is uphill.
